What are the benefits of being a volunteer?
Reading regularly is a huge benefit for all readers, especially young readers who may lack opportunity for shared reading experiences in English. Reading together regularly in the setting of a friendly relationship can do wonders for a student’s reading progress. As a volunteer, you can help make a difference in a child’s life.
You will also have the experience of helping another person, which may change your life in ways you might not expect. Several volunteers say reading with their student is the highlight of their week. Helping others can have several benefits for your happiness and wellbeing, too!
In addition, by volunteering with us, you can gain volunteering hours for your school club, college application, or other service hour requirements.
You’ll also gain valuable experience in working with young people in the field of literacy, working with a team, working with online platforms, and more. At eBookBuddy, our volunteers have the opportunity to expand their roles and impact in our organization by applying to become team leaders, social media interns, and more!
You’ll make connections, get to know your team members, make friends, and make a difference for kids in need!
